Rhubarb Education collaborates with some of the world's largest companies to drive positive change through online learning. We use cutting edge technology to provide next-generation learning experiences that are both fun and engaging.

Founded in 2020, the Rhubarb team is an exciting cocktail of creatives, developers and educators. Together we have already delivered an array of innovative solutions and want to continue this momentum by growing our team with highly talented individuals.

How you can help us

We are looking for a lead UI designer with 2 or more years of experience designing visually appealing responsive websites.

Our learning experiences are extremely engaging, almost game-like, so we are looking for an out of the box thinker - a true creative, who is comfortable coming up with fun, unique designs for the web.

You will gain experience working with clients and internal stakeholders to produce the content and designs that drive these unique learning experiences.

You will be responsible for a number of key design areas including:

  • Bespoke UX/UI
  • Brand guidelines
  • Design libraries
  • Presentations

Experience in illustration, typography, animation, video and motion graphics would all be beneficial in this role.

Skills and expertise

We would love if you have experience in the following:

  • Excellent Figma/Sketch experience
  • Excellent responsive web design experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Great at visualising and prototyping concepts to varying levels of fidelity to demonstrate and validate ideas
  • Great at dealing with pressure and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good at understanding clients’ design needs and working within those constraints
  • Good at coming up with and exploring conceptual ideas
  • Comfortable organising yourself and working independently

Application process

We prefer not to just read CVs, so please also prepare some examples of your work and, where possible, links to 3 latest projects that we can view (preferably 1-3 years old to show recent capabilities). Your roles and responsibilities on these projects are also important for us, so let us know how you contributed to them.

We will look to have an initial chat with you to introduce the company and the rest of our team and work we do; this can be over the phone or a video call. From here we can go over your work a bit more and then hopefully both agree to produce some exciting work together.
